After high school, I served four years in the U.S. Coast Guard as a Radioman from 1964 to 1968. I attended Radioman School at Groton, CT, and as a radioman at Cape May, NJ; the USCGC Sweetbriar and the 17th Coast Guard District Communications Center at Juneau, AK. I attended UW-Stevens Point from 1968 to 1972, graduating in May 1972. I did graduate work in String Development at UW-Madison during the summers from 1973 through 1979, earning 24 graduate credits. I taught vocal music at Princeton, WI during the 1975-76 school year, worked as a typesetter at the Waushara Argus from 1977 th 1989 and at the Berlin Journal from 1991 to 1993. I also worked as a custodian at Grace United Methodist Church from 2001 until my retirement in 2007. I taught private music lessons since 1970 and continue to do so, along with tuning pianos. I put in a lot of hours volunteering at the Waushara County Historical Society Museum in Wautoma, serving as Curator and Treasurer. I have also served as DJ for several record hops in the jail section of the museum and at my last 60s class reunion. I have over 3000 45 RPM records in my extensive collection. I also purchased a 1968 Chrysler Newport Custom in 2006, which I have had partially restored; and have taken it to several car shows and classic car cruises. I especially enjoy cruising back roads.
